Mercedes-Benz Vancouver traditionally celebrates Lunar New Year in style, hosting events with hundreds of guests in attendance. This year, our celebrations look much different, but we take to heart the example set by the Ox.
In typical years, Mercedes-Benz Vancouver hosts jubilant Lunar New Year celebrations, inviting hundreds of guests. We even design our own Lunar New Year desk calendars! This year, we invite you to come to the store to take a photo under our New Year cherry blossom tree and pickup your desktop calendar with socially-distanced safety in mind.
This year, everything has changed. Nothing is normal and it feels like the whole world is in flux. Thankfully, the very year we celebrate — the Year of the Ox — holds within it the guidance we need.
This year, we’re celebrating in ways inspired by the Ox: quietly, reservedly, and with a deeper sense of reflection. The Ox is focused and never looks to be the centre of attention. We keep this in mind as we humbly continue to endure social restrictions for the benefit of our neighbours.
The Ox is also hardworking and a leader, which inspires us professionally. Calm, steady, hardworking, and selfless— we strive to serve and act more like the Ox every day.
So, while our celebrations may be demure, our spirits are anything but. We go into the Year of the Ox with hope, inspiration, and a willingness to work hard even when no one is looking.
This year, we hope that all of your hard work will be rewarded. We wish you health, happiness, and positivity. And, we hope that we can all be together again soon!
